Yes, saw that as I drove by earlier today. It's the soccer pitch & parking lot that's being dug up right now

I was literally going to ask. Does anyone know exactly what is going on this site? They have torn up the parking lot and soccer field on the west end of Borden Park but there is no development sign posted.It's happening!

I believe administration told the previous council that they're starting utility work this year, and the builder will start next year. I could be remembering wrong though.

They are certainly working on site servicing presumably with a specific goal in mind.

Do we have any specifics about this project? Seems weird to see construction starting but no plans shared.

Cantiro is doing the site servicing, not the city.

There is a quote by Cantiro somewhere around here that loosely states, "will start the first of 200 homes by the end of 2026 when the land has been serviced." So whatever the first "200 homes" looks like is anyone's guess.....

^ no kidding lol. But it is arguably the most desirable land of the whole redevelopment and thus makes sense why it’s the first to be developed.
