Edmonton Exhibition Lands development continues

The City of Edmonton is moving forward with the next phases of the Edmonton Exhibition Lands development. In November, utility servicing work began for the first residential parcels. Neighbourhood-level construction on the initial residential units is anticipated to start in 2026, with full construction of the first units expected to finish in early 2027.

Construction has begun for the new Edmonton Urban Farm, located near 73 Street at Borden Park Road NW. The farm is anticipated to open in 2026.
The City has also begun on-site work prior to demolishing structures on the Edmonton Spectrum property, formerly known as the Northlands Park Racetrack & Casino.

The demolition project began in fall 2025 and is scheduled for completion in spring 2026. The work does not pose a health or safety risk to residents, as all hazards are being appropriately managed. Once complete, this demolition will open additional land for further residential parcels to be prepared and sold, supporting the continued eastward and northward progression of the Exhibition Lands development. This site will complement our current work in the southwest of the area, and we look forward to the first residential units coming onto the market in the next few years.”

I gotta say, Bonanza Park has a little more spunk than Borden Park.
