In more sophisticated cities, older buildings with character like this often seem to attract upscale restaurants or retail. I hope it does not stay empty too long.

Whether the bylaws are enforced is another story. I saw HSBC recently put up a large graphic along 101 street. I believe it goes against zoning. Who do we gotta call?

I hope some of this excessive window coverage disappears when it opens. Maybe some corporate executives think it is great to cover almost every window in what they consider advertising, but it actually is a turn off for customers and others.

It really is a waste of their money and it diminishes their image and the image the premises they are trying to get people to go to. Sometimes less is more.

I think this is all we’ll get till the tower starts being built, other wise complete externally. They are doing some panel work buy the parkade entrance today though.
