Construction costs are not that much higher there.

I don't have the most recent numbers, but Edmonton was quite expensive from a cost of construction standpoint, mostly due to higher labour costs and material transportation.
Cost of construction in Edmonton is quite surprising, with our winters the amount of heating and hoarding required increases costs significantly. Even items such as heated concrete add up, on top of higher base material and labor costs like you mentioned.

A couple of concept images
of what we might see.

The actual constructions cost are going up, delays for lack of product are also pushing costs.
the consulting side however is going down. Can't believe how low the design costs are getting.

article from october says a safety film was being installed. I’m assuming they have judged it to be safe(ish) enough if a couple thousand people were allowed to hang out under it the last couple weeks.

Very well could be. I thought that work was complete?

But yes, that might have been it.
My memory is fuzzy but did they still not have scaffolding/covered walkways around the plaza when it was the moss pit? We went to game 5 against LA and I'm pretty sure that was still up along the building. Or maybe that was just part of the moss pit setup.

Interesting to see that Plantlife's website gives an opening date for this store of June. I wonder if that's for this year? Either that's outdated, or they're a lot closer to opening than some of the others.

Speaking of which, the Loblaw's store now has its own Facebook page (They're also on Instagram)
