The only concern I could see is that 97 St is quite narrow between 111 & 110A, might be a squeeze to fit everything in, depending on just how separated these BRT systems are envisioned to be.

Issue with Option 2 is the section that goes from 97 St to 101 St on 111 Ave. That's a nightmare already, and having to cross that many lanes to hit the turn lanes seems daunting even with bus priority signals. I wonder if they could have the BRT route go across 111 Ave, and then connect to...

Would be prudent. I think a lot of people don't know about the back entrance to the Kinsmen/YMCA off 19 Ave, which would be the obvious detour for left turns while this goes on.

Comparing the aerials on the City's site with current day, it looks like 109th is the same now as it was in 1978 from Whyte to ~75 Ave.

Gondola systems usually have escape ropes for cars that are above a spot that is suitable for such an evacuation. For cars in a spot that isn't suitable, they can usually be winched along the line until they're in a spot where it is possible. And sure, in an absolute worst-case & unlikely...

There's literally gondolas that are nearly 450m above the ground (which also has a river below), between two mountains. Do you think emergency services can just put up a ladder there? No. It's a bad faith argument because there are obviously safety mechanisms in place in gondola systems.
