Honestly? The main U of A campus is wonderfully located. And if that results in the vibrant, beautiful neighbourhoods we see on the south face of the river, I'm all for it. MacEwan (and Norquest) are the folks who can make the biggest impact downtown.

$5M is a rounding error for these folks. I can't imagine suing to withdraw what could have simply been great philanthropy (with the tax benefits to match).

Agreed for the most part. Calgary Trail or Gateway at Whyte then the Westin at Churchill Square would be ideal.

Well this makes me rather happy to see. Most of the buildings along this stretch would not be missed. It's almost like the Valley Line is having its intended effect ;)

While I'd prefer a 95 St infill station, I can accept a 12 minute walk to Chinatown/Little Italy!

Access to Italy. Access to Chinatown. Access to human services agencies. Access to the YMCA Village. Transit oriented development potential. And it's already moving at a snail's pace at this corner. And I assume that this would be a rather cost-effective station addition. Yes - yes- yes.
