I like the idea in principle but the reality is it would impact the less wealthy the most as they are unlikely to have a house with a garage. An extra $60 a month, or $120 for two cars, is a lot for a family to absorb. Not everyone can choose to take transit.

I work right by there and saw that Reno taking place. What a waste of a good building. They didn’t honour its history or come close to realizing the potential of that location. Looks like they just used the cheapest materials thinking they could flip it quickly due to the location. What a shame

No tears shed here for the Butterdome. If this monstrosity is an icon for Edmonton then we have a problem. Never heard anyone from out of town say ‘wow’ in a positive way when they spotted this building.

one thing is for sure.... let's definitely not make this more of a destination by making this street pedestrianized ;-) this street is in such a state, I'm not surprised no one wants to go hang here. Not that this would be a cure all by any means, but don't expect people to flock to this street...

I think Ragazzi is the crowd favourite and hard to compete with, but personally I have a soft spot for Tony's as my overall favourite. All the good memories there probably skew my opinion a bit though haha
