JW Marriott and The Legends Private Residences | 191.1m | 56s | ICE District Prop. | Hariri Pontarini

It would be glorious to have some sort of containment to protect your vehicle from all the dust that gets kicked up in a busy parking garage. I'm on P2 of 5 in my garage and it looks like I need a car wash every 2 weeks.

    Connect Centre | 56.3m | 16s | ONE Properties | DIALOG

I'm in my 30's living downtown, tried online shopping with Save-On-Food's once, and will likely never do it again. I enjoy the walk around the grocery store and occasionally stumbling into something enticing to try; I can't get the same experience looking at images. Also know no one personally...

    Manchester Square | ?m | 2s | 76 Group Co | Gardner Architecture

Tracing the roof-line makes the whole thing pop even more to me. I have to see that in person. Nice photo's 👍

    Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

^ Fast forward 5 years or so, and tourists staying downtown (and those of us living here) can also take a train to WEM or a gondola to Whyte. 🥳

Touch the Water Promenade / River Valley "Seawall"

Gateways has my vote personally. The ravine park and powerplant gathering area look like some big time destinations.

But it will be the fanciest strip mall with a parking lot in all of the lands.

Jasper Avenue New Vision / Imagine Jasper Avenue

In front of the Conference center is going to be especially nice; there are portions of walkway where on both sides there are trees. I can't recall anywhere downtown like that.

    Encore Tower | 138m | 43s | Westrich Pacific | Dub Architects

^ There might be a fat new Westrich tower right beside where The Shift will be.

    Hyatt Place Edmonton (Quarters Hotel) | ?m | 12s | Hyatt | Dub Architects

Boyle Street needs some destinations so people want to be here. There really isn't much interesting in Boyle Street along Jasper for example. So I like the Cultural District idea ^ Alderitt tower I hope helps with that as well.

    ICE District Phase 2 | 149.95m | ?s | ICE District Prop.

Homes in the core will likely be higher than in the suburbs. It comes down to whether the person actually prefers the downtown lifestyle and vibe. And from there, it comes down to whether they get priced out or not.

    Stanley A. Milner Library | ?m | 6s | EPL | Teeple Architects

^ the main elevator in the library goes down to the pedway. I didn't go down (or up) to see how well connected they are though.

Jasper Avenue New Vision / Imagine Jasper Avenue

I'm shocked at how much wider the sidewalks are here on 99st-Jasper. You can see the edge of the sidewalk now where it meets the road, and it's twice as wide as it was before. I knew it would be widened, but not to the extent I'm seeing in person. I have been using the old tiny sidewalks here...

    Stanley A. Milner Library | ?m | 6s | EPL | Teeple Architects

I was at the library this afternoon, and wow, the interior is amazing. What stood out personally is the gamer space. They did not cut corners when it came to this area of the library. The PC's and peripherals were high end Alienware. Even the monitors were large and curved for better immersion...

Those lights definitely make a positive impact. It also looks like a miniature model in those pics.

    Kinistinâw Park

^ i live nearby and you are not wrong. All you have to do is look at the area just outside Doubletree.

    That view though 🤩

    Manchester Square | ?m | 2s | 76 Group Co | Gardner Architecture

I like it, but as someone mentioned in here earlier, it does look smaller in person.

    Encore Tower | 138m | 43s | Westrich Pacific | Dub Architects

    ^ pics 4,5,6. That's the neighbor's balcony

    Boardwalk-Revillon Revitalization | ?m | 6s | Allied Properties REIT | DIALOG

The new design will jive well with Encore across the street. Encore's entrance in fact looks like a mini version of it.

    9955 Jasper Avenue | 105m | 34s | Great Gulf | a—A

As a NIMBY who currently lives in the building directly adjacent to it, yes, the white version. I have a feeling for downtown dwellers, big and shiny takes precedent over other things. Or maybe I'm wrong, but that's a big reason why I moved downtown.
