    Haha I think I've had dinner there once in my life back maybe a decade ago...Even then I wondered why this wasn't located in a (at the time) up and coming South Edmonton Common.

    Well it'll really be something to see those few blocks in a couple years. Add in the park development and the towers slated for the east/North sides and it will be a very unique node in the DT core. Now if only that BPs can finally disappear :)

    Wow. Good to heard. Seems like there are active development plans for all portions of the former Ed Motors site. And the fact that it's being managed by 3 different groups gives more optimism to development occuring in a tighter timeline (vs. staged multiphase dev if one group were to proceed).

    Unless they've materially changed their design/material plans that is. Last time I contacted them and ask directly they confirmed that both towers would be using a similar stucco product to the Icons.

    The one tower I was really hoping WOULDN'T go through....simply because it's the only mainly stucco tower still being planned in DTYEG. Not to mention a prime southern skyline view.

    Hahaha @archited I'm starting to sense more and more that your are quite the dreamer. While I'd love for Cineplex to come back into the fold I'm not holding my breath (similar to that long, cold wait you've got me on in the Aldritt thread ;) )

    Me as well @Kaizen. Waiting to here back from @archited as my (dated) info didn't sound as promising in the short term. Still know for certain that the value drivers for this group (Aldritt) and this site (with the already executed land swaps with the City to consolidate a Jasper Ave/River...

    @Daveography yes that's what I recall as well. Well then perhaps this is some positive momentum on staging activities for Phase 2. They have been referencing the second phase quite a bit in comms sessions over the last few months but I have no inside line to be aware of anything being planned...
