    Exhibition Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

Fantastic letter @kcantor. I agree with everything you said. I am going to follow up with my own note to Mayor/Council and would love to see as many like minded Edmontonians do the same. We need to take a another long, hard, honest look at this before even one dollar is spent on demolition.

    Edmonton Oilers

All references of this need to be removed/destroyed before the team sees it. If they do, we're doomed to a first round sweep.

    Rogers Place | ?m | ?s | Katz Group | HOK

The Hlinka-Gretzky Cup returns to Rogers Place this summer. Multiple games are scheduled daily on Aug 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10. Hopefully this is well attended and a boost to downtown businesses in an otherwise soft spot in the event calendar for Rogers Place/Ice District. Hlinka-Gretzky Cup

    Churchill Square

How about if we just leave it as Churchill Square and find other parks/places to honor Gomberg/Decore/others?

    Municipal Politics

I would be in favor of selling off surplus land/buildings to pay for SPECIFIC high priority or city building type capital projects, like the redevelopment of the Rossdale Power plant and surrounding area, for instance. Perhaps that could be done through a Municipal Development Corporation as...

    Rogers Place | ?m | ?s | Katz Group | HOK

I think this was posted in another thread, but Rogers Place is hosting a WNBA exhibition game on Sunday May 5; the Los Angeles Sparks vs. the Seattle Storm. This will be only the second time a WNBA game has been played in Canada. I am wondering if this is a test game for the WNBA and the OEG to...

    Edmonton Oil Kings

The Oil Kings finished off the 2023/24 regular season this past Sunday with 17,720 in attendance; their largest crowd of the season. Despite a rather unsuccessful season on the ice (they finished 27-37-3-1, a 0.426 points % and 18th place in 22 team league) they had an average attendance of...

    Alberta Politics

$103M to Calgary's Arts Commons from the AB gov't. Announced earlier today. Add this to the $300M + for their new "Events Center". And treatment of the two large cities in the province by its government gets even more lopsided. 🤬🤬🤬 Arts Commons Announcement

    Edmonton Oilers

For the life of me I just cannot understand why this team refuses to take that next step forward to being top tier NHL team. Win against Minnesota and last night against the flamers (both VERY winnable games) and we are all alone in 2nd place 1 point ahead of Vegas and 8 behind Van with multiple...

Coronation Community Recreation Centre | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton | Dub Architects

Some shots of the final finish material from earlier today. The small sample looks great. This thing could be quite "sexy" when done.

    Edmonton Corporate Development & Attraction

We have a massive leadership void in this city, as far as I'm concerned. Both politically and corporately.

    Federal Politics

If the GofC drops the carbon tax on natural gas in Alberta we absolutely will see a reduction in our natural gas bills. Carbon tax is a separate line item within the natural gas bill and would be $0 if the carbon is eliminated.
