Fantastic letter @kcantor. I agree with everything you said. I am going to follow up with my own note to Mayor/Council and would love to see as many like minded Edmontonians do the same. We need to take a another long, hard, honest look at this before even one dollar is spent on demolition.

The Hlinka-Gretzky Cup returns to Rogers Place this summer. Multiple games are scheduled daily on Aug 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10. Hopefully this is well attended and a boost to downtown businesses in an otherwise soft spot in the event calendar for Rogers Place/Ice District. Hlinka-Gretzky Cup

If the GofC drops the carbon tax on natural gas in Alberta we absolutely will see a reduction in our natural gas bills. Carbon tax is a separate line item within the natural gas bill and would be $0 if the carbon is eliminated.
