High Level Bridge Streetcar / ERRS

Very good. They should definitely be accepting contactless payments, though. Cash only in 2025 is questionable considering how cheap you can buy a POS system...

    The Shift | 113.08m | 38s | Edgar | MCM Partnership

I think an easy win here is a 3-4 storey warehouse style podium with brick matching one of the various warehouses nearby. Beyond that, just don't do anything stupid. I did express support via email. I also requested for EDC to mandate brick.

    General Food & Dining Thread

Yes, I have. I preferred the previous two DT iterations. The new location feels much cheaper and low effort compared to those and WEM. No complaints about the food.

Completely on brand for those guys.

Edmonton City Centre Mall (Renovations) | ?m | 2s | LaSalle Investment Management

Something like ECC isn't replaceable if it's torn down. If you added 20,000 residents with a finished LRT line we wouldn't be having this conversation. Mall capacity at the big 3 is nearly full now. Brewery doesn't have retail capacity. The only places left are the few Langham CRUs, a single...

I'm guessing they were testing soil conditions and installed the pile at the same time.

    The Quarters

Something the scale of Stadium Yards would need to be built out in a single stage, or you risk alot of social problems preventing the continuation of a project. I'm thinking 1,000-1,500 units are needed at once, or a bunch of row housing like Blatchford.

    The Quarters

The Quarters is going to become Edmonton's East Hastings unless it's wrapped up in a package and sold to a developer at ring road pricing (which is what it's worth).

Yes this is the work of ARH.

Spotted in front of a few homes in Crestwood.

I don't like how they painted the brick.

    Grandin 4 | 23m | 6s | Westrich Pacific | J+S Architect

Are you guys just getting the power buried and leaving up the communications until a later date? I just know that cutover isn't minor work, as I was involved with installing alot of that brand new fiber around 4-5 years ago.

The Mercury Block II | Hodgson Schilf Evans

Replacing the old vinyl siding with something natural to go with the brick is all the building needs. Glad it's getting love to go along with its two new neighbours.

    General Infill Discussion

Those all look pretty bad. Simple can be better... Something like the rowhouses below are an example. Swap the siding out for brick or cedar depending on your setting. Credit to Waechter Architecture.

These ladies look like they make mean Ukrainian food. This is gonna be a problem for me. I'm happy!

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

The roadway in front of schools creates more hazards. This is just an example of concern trolling.

    Federal Politics

I think it would need to be a dedicated account type with a unique criteria for eligible holdings. We just saw the addition of the FHSA, another registered account type wouldn't be hard to implement. ETFs could easily be created to meet demand and fall within the criteria. Maybe the entire TSX...

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I predict that people will take alternatives and it won't be an issue within 2 weeks.

8 stairwells of wasted space. I like the product given the current restrictions, but I do think a lot of living space is being lost to the skinny townhouse design compared to what could be built with SES on the same lot. Happy to see 8 homes where there was 2.
