I think it had something in their lease saying they wouldn’t open stores at Kingsway and Southgate for xx amount of years, that’s why they chose Londonderry. Word is their sales at Londonderry aren’t as good as they were hoping.

I would think if they started closing stores Southgate would be the most likely in Edmonton to stay open. Its sales are almost double than their next best store in Edmonton (WEM), or that was the case a few years ago.

Winners must’ve opened today. I was at Southgate last night and it said it was opening Monday.

Yup, it’s not just Edmonton. Will be interesting to see what changes WS comes out with.

Flair has cut all its transborder routes from YEG after the first week of April (YYC as well). PHX was only scheduled to finish after Easter, but LAS was supposed to run until June and start again in the fall and it’s gone completely from the schedule.

Also a place to grab a coffee that’s open late (Deville, Blenz, even a SB) would be great.

Nice to see them putting some money towards servicing of the lands for Ice District Phase 2. Hopefully this is the push to get something built there sooner than later.
