    The Jameson | 53.95m | 17s | Open Sky | Acton Ostry

https://www.edmonton.ca/transportation/transportation-data Got that info from the AAWDT volume map but there's also information on pedestrians, cyclists, collisions, etc.

    The Jameson | 53.95m | 17s | Open Sky | Acton Ostry

It's not really that important for cars. The AAWDT (average annual weekday traffic) volumes sit around 2,500 vs. 12,000 on 116 St, 3,000 on 118 St, and 10,000-20,000 on 124 St.

Huh? It is well used. I'd argue this would make the park even more permeable by integrating the active thoroughfare into the greenspace.

I’m sure this kind of feedback was provided ad nauseam during the engagement for this renewal, and I’m sure it was heard, but this kind of feedback is akin to the opposition to the new zoning bylaw; almost wholly concerned with the present reality and misinformed assumptions rather than what...

    Capital Line LRT

Was also curious. Used this website: https://censusmapper.ca/maps/new#11/53.5462/-113.4912 to add up the census tract populations for all those south of the Henday and got approx. 130,000 which is from the 2021 census. Using the same method, population was approx. 86,000 in 2016. A rough...

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

That makes sense. It was just that section, after Davies it was back to normal. Thanks for the clarification!

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

Took the valley line for fun/to see how it is. On the way south, we barely waited at any intersections at all, maybe not even once. On the way back up we stopped at almost all intersections between Mill Woods and the elevated guideway, it was a little bit unreal. Why so inconsistent? Also I...

Unfortunately there is: https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/capital-region-leaders-talk-about-building-new-outer-ring-road-edmonton-mayor-calls-it-a-lousy-idea-1.1908895 Wholly unnecessary and just inviting more sprawl. It has been shelfed for 10 or so years now with not much recent discussion about it...

    Hat @ Old Strathcona | 66.14m | 20s | Cidex Group

This will also make it abundantly clear how badly 105 street needs a makeover from Whyte to 80 Av. Already lots of pedestrians walking to Nofrills and other shops with small sidewalks and bad sight lines with all the parking.

    Westrich McKernan-Belgravia | 22m | 6s | Westrich Pacific Corp. | JS Architect

Guessing that's a typo, seems like Westrich really likes putting 'heights' in their rentals' names.

EVER (on Baseline Commercial Plaza) | Ever Red

I wouldn't compare suburbs to hockey. I'd say it's more like golf, but each fairway is extremely long and if you want to walk, you're required to use a very indirect and narrow pathway, or you could try to walk on the very direct, very wide and busy golf cart path while people yell at you to...

    LRT Expansion Planning

None of them are without massive swathes of post-WWII sprawl though, which can't be said about most European and Asian cities.

Got a good look at this one waiting for the 9 bus near sugarbowl and wow, you guys weren’t exaggerating about the prominence of this one, love it!

    LRT Expansion Planning

Agreed. Yes we have to always demand better but It doesn’t hurt to consider we could be living in *insert American metro of 1-1.5 mil*

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

I think the look of this one will matter a lot less when (refuse to say ‘if’) those other lots are filled in with towers of similar height, if not taller.

    South Edmonton Hospital & Health Campus | ?m | ?s | Province of Alberta

And yet the city that has been growing by an entire Red Deer’s worth of people every few years doesn’t need any additional full-service hospitals.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I'd argue it facilitates poor driving. I find the places with no right turn on red such as the Whyte scrambles are a far more pleasant pedestrian and driving experience because that point of conflict is removed.
