The location question is still open and potential options have expanded. There are some limiting factors to the CBS site that makes it less than ideal. But there are some potential options that are also very exciting and still include the U of A.

I wonder if Flowers by Merle would locate in here. They had to move a few years ago due to LRT construction and are now hidden away on 103 Ave. Would be a great addition to the lineup here.

In terms of crime and the perception of safety, getting rid of dilapidated buildings is more important than empty lots, imo. But the argument is moot anyways.... developers will build on land they can get within a price that works with their budget, regardless of whether or not it is empty...
