    Miscellaneous

They should turn the parking spots in front of the building facing Jasper Ave into a park.

    Stollery Children's Hospital

The location question is still open and potential options have expanded. There are some limiting factors to the CBS site that makes it less than ideal. But there are some potential options that are also very exciting and still include the U of A.

    South Edmonton Hospital & Health Campus | ?m | ?s | Province of Alberta

To be clear, the money that the foundation raises is for 'excellence', not basic construction. Or at least that's the idea.

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

Garbage. But yeah, no one should be surprised.

    Edmonton - Red Deer - Calgary Hyperloop | ?m | ?s | Transpod

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/china-s-hyperloop-surpasses-previous-speed-milestone/ar-BB1id6Ve?ocid=socialshare&pc=U531&cvid=585df554c4b7409c9a3274e27624cca7&ei=22 I'm not commenting on the likelihood of hyperloop being a real thing any time soon (if ever) but you gotta admit the...

    The Mercury Block | 21.7m | 6s

I wonder if Flowers by Merle would locate in here. They had to move a few years ago due to LRT construction and are now hidden away on 103 Ave. Would be a great addition to the lineup here.

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

Saw some posts about it on Insta. Looks classy, and tasty. But a steal she ain't.

    The Willow | 28.04m | 8s | Casia Developments | Brian Allsopp

This is also the developer that submitted the rezoning application for 124 St and 103 Ave

    West Block | 60.35m | 16s | Beaverbrook | GEC

I'm guessing rental? I know they had trouble selling some of the units in the last tower. **Edit: Great news, regardless! One of my favourite developments in the city. The retail area raised the bar in the city, imo.

    The Mercury Block | 21.7m | 6s

Hopefully a few of these spots will also be filled with non-food offerings.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

Great news for sure. It'll be interesting to see some stats about downtown businesses and how the train has (hopefully) increased customer activity.

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

Haha yes we are definitely a bit starved. But I think this one will probably get more attention than other projects due to its location. PRIME spot and important to get it right.

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

Yeah I had noticed that one, but it was the only project I could find by them. I definitely hope they bust out something far higher quality for this one...

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

What do we know about Casia? Not familiar with this developer

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

Again though, how do you know they are not intending to build? Maybe you know something I don’t…?

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

In terms of crime and the perception of safety, getting rid of dilapidated buildings is more important than empty lots, imo. But the argument is moot anyways.... developers will build on land they can get within a price that works with their budget, regardless of whether or not it is empty...

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

Seems a bit odd. So we should only be supporting development on empty lots?

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

What makes you think it'll be a parking lot for an extended period of time? Is there something about the developer, or are you just speculating?

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

You don't have to worry about losing these buildings, trust me. I live right by here and what's there now does not contribute much of anything to the street. The only functioning business is a daycare and people just drop off and pick up their kids through the back alley, never the front (the...
