I've never donated before -- CKUA is a little too "boomer" for me sometimes -- but I do value their work and some of their programming. So I threw them a few bones. Hope they pull through.

There is so much churn in terms of sales on 116th Street lately (including several adjacent houses that recently sold closer to Sask Drive), that I wouldn't be surprised to see that street look a lot more dense in the next 5-10 years.

I could imagine Danielle thinking that her job would be easier if there was a major urban center that voted uniformly conservative, to act as a counterweight to Edmonton and (increasingly) Calgary. I think what Danielle may not fully appreciate is that the larger and more diverse a city grows...

This may come off as facetious, but I truly give credit to the Oilers taking a gentlemanly loss in the circumstances.

7.5% over four years is ridiculously low-ball given the lengthy series of zeroes that the APS has received over their last two contracts, but AUPE is obviously shooting really high with 26.

It's within walking distance of my home, but it's not exactly a pleasant walk having to cut through light industrial streets. Weird location for sure.

To be honest, while I enjoyed their burgers, I much preferred them when they were The Local Omnivore -- their menu was just a lot more appealing. I'm excited to see what they have planned next. It sounds like they have something else planned.

Whether or not she's attending that particular UCP fundraiser in her "capacity" as a city councilor seems a bit debatable, but I'm more disappointed that she would do this in the first place, even in an "unofficial" or "personal" capacity.

Within a few blocks of my home in Inglewood, I can count at least six SFHs that have been demo'd and replaced by 4-plexes. At least half of those 4-plexes have basement suites and a garage suite. "Gentle densification" in action.

Was the "by Louisiana Purchase" part of the signage a newer addition? I walked by many times (it was never busy inside) and never noticed that before. I had no idea that the two restaurants were affiliated.
