    Yellowhead Trail Upgrades

I think this project is years away. The City has not initiated any utility relocations yet, so I bet 2026 construction starts for utilities at best.

EllisDon to Lead Prairie Link High-Speed Rail Partners - Edm-RD-Cal

I don't think the median would work for corners for HSR, but I suppose corners could be at their appropriate radius with bridges over or under the highway. The highway could be re-aligned at the corners that pose problems, which might make more sense anyway.

    Yellowhead Trail Upgrades

The new 121/107 ST overpass will start with piling work in the new year. I imagine it will be completed before 127 ST.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I'm disappointed to see what looks like trees being planted in the middle of a sidewalk. Have we not learned that this is not ideal for the users of said sidewalk?

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I don't think this is specifically a low floor issue as the Capital Line LRT bridge has fenced tunnel portals on either side, so access is much riskier from either Government Centre or University. The at grade station at Muttart gives easier access to the bridge, but based on the photo from the...

    The Parks | 146.91m | 45s | 35s | 13s | Pangman | Hariri Pontarini

I am curious and hopeful for what the crown will look like at night. This building no doubt has potential.

    Capital Line LRT

I think I would rather have the 23 AV tunnel built as opposed the elevated rail over Ellerslie, if one had to choose. 23 AV is at an intersection and as we all know, the LRT can impact traffic in all directions at intersections. As for Ellerslie, this is a mid block crossing, so hopefully...

    The View | 76m | 23s | Westrich Pacific | Chris Dikeakos

I heard from two sources that this project is going to be fully rental. I guess the developer is buying back units. I didn't believe it when I heard it, but the second source is much more reliable. Hard to believe.

    Capital Line LRT

Saddleback will still have painted bike lanes with slip lanes crossing over; however, with the LRT crossing, right on red would be illegal here, so hopefully that improves safety a little bit. I don't see a sidewalk being added on the east side of 111 ST between 9 and 12 AV, so this is...

    Capital Line LRT

I think the replacement of the Blackmud Creek bridge down Running Creek Road may have been a factor in this. There likely will be no other way across the creek during construction for pedestrians. It would be awesome if the City replaced the sidewalk on the east side of 111 ST , south of 23 AV...

    Capital Line LRT

I would like to see the Metro Line extended to 153 AV before the Capital Line gets pushed further south of Ellerslie. Actually, I would prefer they both go ahead ASAP, but if we are choosing sides...

    Capital Line LRT

I worked on the Stadium LRT Station redevelopment and CN still has fiber in the right of way.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

The Walker NSP does have plans for a Park and Ride/Transit Centre at 50 ST and Ellerslie. So I imagine it will likely have a feeder bus to the Valley Line in about... 10 years.

    Terwillegar Drive Expansion

What would really make me happy is a pedestrian/bike bridge over the Whitemud creek at 53 AV to connect to the U of A. I would also take a BRT bridge, but with the transit lanes on Fox Drive, that might be a bit redundant. A cycle commuter coming from Terwillegar has some large hills to...

    Capital Line LRT

I'm wondering if it would integrate better into a pedestrian dedicated space so that the platform is right off the sidewalk as opposed to tracks separating the platform? I realize the platform for going the other direction would still be on the other side of the tracks, but maybe this is meant...

    Terwillegar Drive Expansion

Yeah, this feels like a bandaid for now, but at the same time, I don't know how anyone can buy a house in the SW and not seriously consider the implications of traffic and commute time. It will be interesting to see how long this helps traffic and at what point does the induced demand theory...

    Terwillegar Drive Expansion

Some interesting changes to the Terwillegar-Whitemud interchange. Now a dedicated BRT ramp from 53 AV to Terwillegar SB, 2 new bridges for NB Terwillegar to NB Whitemud.

    Yellowhead Trail Upgrades

Looks like a modified option 2 is what has been chosen. The service road on the north side between 107 ST and 126 ST will be 2 way and the eastbound ramp off St. Albert Trail will not merge until after the lights at the 127 ST interchange.

    Substation #600 | ?m | 3s | Beljan Development | Hodgson Schilf Evans

650 Substation in Glenora (135 ST - SPR) is being decommissioned. I wonder if anything would come of it, or if it would be an infill house? I guess with the commercial on 134 ST, it might be a tougher sell.
