I wonder if those opaque windows at the top is what's replacing the corrugated metal enclosure you see in the render (design change courtesy Stanley Milner Library :eek:?). Can't see what else it could be assuming the render doesn't differ significantly.

Yes, the glass canopy at the top is a unique touch. Framing extends above the HVAC unit a bit and looks to be inline with the glass from the render, so I hope that's it.

^ there is nothing there to keep people lingering from what I can see - and it definitely gives off a barren wasteland vibe. I'm guessing people probably avoid thinking it's still an active construction zone (I haven't been there in a while so I have no idea if it still is or not)

The Holt Renfrew space is what I keep reading here and there.

So they've got more steel up top installed and I see them welding away right now. The beams are all black: will it stay that way you think? The whole tower already has a darker, classy look to it compared with the renders. I'm liking the darker scheme, as it contrasts heavily with Icon and Fox...

Fuzzy, zoomed in update on the steel at the top of Encore. Hard to tell from my photo, but seeing with my own eyes, it feels a lot taller all of a sudden.

I actually think that bridge looks pretty cool... and a nice landmark for that part of town. On the flip side, I can also see how people might hate it as well.

I hope they consider the space on the south end of the Telus Building for the downtown station (especially if the one way road there gets permanently closed, or so I've read somewhere). Major bus terminal, and central LRT pedway would be at it's doorstep. I imagine non-downtown residents would...
