    Alberta Politics

Not sure if anyone listened to Real Talk with Ryan Jespersen today, but Nenshi is not holding back. He was sharply critical of Danielle Smith, Adriana LaGrange, and the UCP as a whole. (In a cutting, yet sincere and honest way that I feel has set him apart from the other leadership candidates.)...

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Edmonton

I don’t think painted bus lanes will split the community. I think Whyte Ave once this is all completed will be a much nicer place to spend time and will draw more people to the area. I also think the BRT will spur some development which will draw more people in. And BRT will have the...

    Stollery Children's Hospital

From what I’ve heard, and from what was shared earlier in the thread, I think the plan is to build where the Canadian Blood Services building is.

Lots of action on site this morning! A large number of people working. Significant progress on the foundation, lots of concrete and rebar. Didn’t want to bother anyone at work so no photo, but will look to get further updates in the future.

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

City run bike share would be great. Could use Arc card (hopefully Arc app eventually) for a bike. It would make it easy to link bike and transit trips. It would be much more affordable than Lime. Tricky part would be the implementation and operation. Also tricky would be whether there would be...

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Edmonton

From Michael Janz^ I was hoping for LRT down Whyte, but I think BRT will be a positive for the City and will (hopefully) encourage further TOD. I’m especially hoping for denser development in Old Strathcona.
