About the Project​

The project consists of four six-storey mid-rise residential buildings, organized around two landscaped private courtyards and a central pedestrian public pathway. Architecturally, the development employs a rhythmic, contemporary design language that responds sensitively to its urban context. Varied rooflines, articulated setbacks, and a diverse mix of exterior cladding materials reflect the texture and scale of the surrounding neighbourhoods. At street level, transparent façades accommodate student amenity spaces, fostering interaction between residents and the public realm. This visual connectivity enhances street-level vibrancy and safety while contributing to a strong sense of place. The design also considers time and seasonality, with carefully positioned windows in both private and shared spaces offering visual connections to daylight and seasonal change. Deciduous vegetation in the courtyards and perimeter planters highlights these transitions and reinforces Edmonton’s distinctive four-season climate.

My money's still on this one turning out a tiny bit better than shown, due to the renders being low-effort.


I assume they'll be closing the parking and demo'ing the back end of the existing building right away then?
The north end is perfect for field offices and lunch rooms. I'd expect them to utilize the paved area for that. Stage 2 they'll probably rent the adjacent ugly parking lot.
