Mixed-Use Tower | 75m | 24s | Healthcare Properties Holdings Ltd. | Kasian

Beautiful proposal, awful part of the city. This would be great to see but it’s another believe it when I see it project.
Not that awful, I don't live too far from there and am in the area everyday. A bad part would be 101 Street between 107A and 105A Avenues, the rest of 101 Street isn't that bad honestly (just too many parking lots lol).

Its good to see the area around the Royal Alex LRT station densify. More eyes on the street is exactly what the area needs. Lets hope a developer builds a funky building on the vacant land on the opposite side of 101 St.
I was always wondering if they were going to build something on the empty parking lot beside Hy's Center as I once lived there from 1989 to 1992 ! It was funky as I was working an evening shift so I'd sleep half the morning away and get to listen to jets a lot of the time if they were landing and taking off over my building when the wind direction at the airport that was there pushed them over my building ! 😝 I was gonna say it's not high enough but now that I see where it's located, it's more than high enough and a GREAT addition to the neighborhood ! 👍

Looking at their site, the properties they have in Edmonton are all built for medical purposes.

So if they are building it by the land at HYS, makes sense it ties into a medical theme (assisted living, supportive living, etc.)

I can't help but think this building would be better placed by the MacEwan station. This spot has no restaurants, poor access to groceries, the transit connections are far

At least it'll kill some surface parking.

You better take another look.
Restaurants? Nha Trang, Tony's Pizza Palace and Moxies are all just a few minutes walk.
Groceries? Try Kingsway Mall.
Transit connections? There's a bus stop just outside their front door on 101 St, and the Kingsway LRT station is near by.
