Climbing wall installation has commenced!
Alas, it's been proven many times that we just can't have nice things...I loved the original iteration of this park. I get why it wasn't ideal, what with all the available places to hide, but that was also what made it so cool. That back corner with the waterfall was an easy place to forget you were quite literally in the middle of the city.
Sadly that is somewhat true. Although the time in which this was designed was quite different from now in Edmonton and other cities too. So I suppose when it came time to refurbish things here, changes had to be made.Alas, it's been proven many times that we just can't have nice things...
Beautiful cladding - I hope it is durable!Open with attendants the last few days. Curious how this works out and how the park is managed. Good to see more options for more people and dignity for those without other choices. Here's hoping.

I imagine stainless steel is worth a lot at the scrap yard, maybe even more than copper..Better put up a sign so that nobody's tempted to try and sell it!
