I am offering up burnt sacrifices to the gods that this means we'll lose both the eyesore of a building and the bombed out parking lot next to it. I mean you'd think this is a premium development opportunity next to the new park!
If that building gets a revamped so it interacts with the park better, then I'm ok with it being there. Having a restaurant there with a patio facing the park would be greatI am offering up burnt sacrifices to the gods that this means we'll lose both the eyesore of a building and the bombed out parking lot next to it. Unfortunately I have a feeling this one is going to sit like this for a very very long time.Sure, but that parking lot that looks like a war zone has to go!
Unless the City force the owners to sell. This one will remain a parking lot for another 15+ yearsUnfortunately I have a feeling this one is going to sit like this for a very very long time.
It's sad because that parking lot is so rough because it's basically the foundation of the buiding that was located there previously and demolished, around the early 1990s I think. But because this parking lot does look like a war zone, this might be the time to regularly and relentlessly report it as a derelict property. It might just be one of the worst parking lots downtown, and that's saying something.
Sounds similar to a new downtown parking lot. It's sad because that parking lot is so rough because it's basically the foundation of the buiding that was located there previously and demolished, around the early 1990s I think.
Early '80's or maybe even late '70's would be my guess. It's sad because that parking lot is so rough because it's basically the foundation of the buiding that was located there previously and demolished, around the early 1990s I think.
So is this a win? Sorta locks in the quarters to be non developable for market housing for years to come…
Hopefully when the new business tower opens up filled with students and staff, the area might get more pedestrian traffic.Good to hear, I guess, but a shame that more commercial offerings didnt work there for students and the community.
