The development very much feels like a wall between downtown and the homelessness problem just north of it. Good or bad? Depends on who you ask but it certainly would insulate residents from it.

Not Stantec... This was a mixed use tower at the east end of the site with a hotel component that was completed with two options - one that retained the bridge and one that did not (this is the one that did). Both of them incorporated a retail component at the P1 level of the parkade that would have animated 97th Street and included a porte cochiere "drop off" for the residential and hotel components. The one that did not include the bridge was recently referenced in the 97th Street Bridge thread.
