Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Was gonna head to Phoenix in June but after hearing that “ICE” will be patrolling the security lines……not so sure. The crashy bits don’t confront me none as they are still few and far in between……

Did you hear an Air Canada flight crashed at LGW airport due to air traffic controller error?

Given all the crashes and close calls in the USA recently, is it still safe to fly to and within the USA?!
It occurred at LaGuardia (LGA) not London Gatwick (LGW).
Regardless, this is tragic. I hope the FAA (and the administration controlling them) can really get their act together. There was only one controller working both the ground and tower at the time of the accident.

Listen to the controllers on line last night. The ground controller had his hands full With the united flight at the same time. But it does not make me confident about travel south. And Now with ICE on Security lines. How many travelers will be detained now. Had a chance to go to Huston to see and new test facility. Decided not to go, to many things negative now.

The last time I flew to the Great Satan was a couple of years ago. Had to wait a couple of hours to pass through USA border security at YYZ. Nearly missed my flight.

I thought was said somewhere he was the only controller there, I think due to US government cutbacks. Yes, does not inspire confidence in air travel in the US now.
