Having lived in both cities (and loved both), I've always thought Edmonton and Quebec City should cooperate and share information far more than they do.
That reminds me of how, in the mid-1970s, some ETS staffers went on a tour of various German light rail systems to learn from them. This is pretty neat, Quebec City's mayor Bruno Marchand was part of the delegation.

100%, I'd argue we should somehow move into a sister city relationship.Having lived in both cities (and loved both), I've always thought Edmonton and Quebec City should cooperate and share information far more than they do.
For all the roasting we get, we do have a robust LRT system, we truly just need to expand it and increase density around the lines, on top of creating more bus feeder networks. That reminds me of how, in the mid-1970s, some ETS staffers went on a tour of various German light rail systems to learn from them.
In this situation, probably benefits Quebec City more than us, as we are somewhat larger so are probably already dealing with things they will have to in the next decade or so, but places can learn from each other. That reminds me of how, in the mid-1970s, some ETS staffers went on a tour of various German light rail systems to learn from them.
Agreed, I just like it when municipalities let their staff go on learning trips like these! In this situation, probably benefits Quebec City more than us, as we are somewhat larger so are probably already dealing with things they will have to in the next decade or so, but places can learn from each other.
