It's been 5 or 6 years since they were erected, and I'm still waiting for an official unveiling with Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas.
Although I've heard Rick is reclusive these days.

Well maybe with him coming out to film Spaceballs 2, he might be willing to come to Edmonton.

The artist who did the statue is my former brother-in-law and both Moranis and Thomas were heavily involved in the shaping of their likenesses. Would still love to see them participate in an unveiling.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost certain this was moved from the Union Bank Inn to MacDonald Drive
