Huge collab imo. Great to see. One of the best businesses on 124th

This could very quickly become the best patio in the city! 😍😍

Reminds me of River Cafe in Calgary which is a fantastic space but too expensive to visit regularly. This could be a more accessible version that would get a lot of regular people out enjoying real patio dining.

We have lots of great restaurants with patios already, but far too many are beside parking lots or 6-lane stroads, not really a proper experience.

We LOVE Lift Me Up! It's always BUSY, so this is going to be a great spot for them. I'm really looking forward to patio season now!

Ran around Hawrelak this morning and first impressions are good. The paved trail on the inside of the roadway will be well used. And there are connections to all amenities. The pavilion by the lake now has what looks to be either an order window or expedite window on the north side. This will be so much better for the future patio. Still lots of fencing up around the park though and a few workers still completing jobs. I can imagine the road cyclists will not like the narrower road around the park. My only gripe is 3 years of closure for this and we still can’t swim in the lake.

Meh, it's pretty easy to get up to the speed limit (20kmh) on a road bike and even then, the narrower road should discourage motorists from overtaking unsafely.

Big photo dump from today.

Playground is incredible. This is what should have been built behind the DT Library instead of useless rubber humps.

Lots of new trees. Benches and paths look great.

Patio and waterfront look really crisp.

Lack of raised crossings is mind boggling to me. 140mil refresh and every crossing was a puddle. What idiots are making these decisions??? I’m so frustrated by this.

MUPs look nice. Only concern is most are standard width. Not have double wide paths with paint, or clear bike/walking paths seems really shortsighted. This isn’t just a popular spot to bike to, but it also acts as a key west end to DT/Uni connection with the pedestrian bridge at buena vista. It doesn’t seem like that was really considered at all.

Buildings all look nice and wayfinding is good.

That playground looks legit! I can’t wait to try that slide. Lol. It reminds me of the Boston Police officer slide (iykyk).

I suspect that Tiramisu’s cafe here will be a huge hit. Anyone know if it will be open year-round, or only during the summer months?
