4% joining the US - buahahahaha! That Linkedin essay someone shared a while back covered that pretty well. If they wanna be Puerto Rico North, have at'er. Idiots.

I wonder how representative of the general population that poll is (I know nothing about statistics, polling, and all that jazz, so apologies if that's a dumb question).

Leger polls are some of the most reliable in Canada and are traditionally seen as a bit of a bellweather for any major vote by serious people in all major political parties, as well as reputable political analysts of both progressive and conservative inclinations. You will see a lot of conservative "influencers", especially in the Maple MAGA crowd be mad at them because especially in the last year or so, Leger polls have not been in accordance with their expectations.

Thanks for that. I knew they were reputable, but that's about it. And if that's the case, I find the 17% to be quite horrifying.
