Scona Road NW and 93 Avenue NW - Rezone

Anyone know if there is anything in the MGA that would prevent the City doing something like that?
The only comparison that I can think of is the restrictions put on Qualico for the 80-storey proposal in the Quarters in terms of an effectuation timeline, so I think that the answer is no there is nothing preventing the City from constricting the time-line. In Qualico's case the fuse I believe was 10 years. 10 years for this site is too long IMHO. It will then necessarily fall to the collective back-of-mind for the City generally; I have zero faith that Westrich will act responsibly on this.

I did ask Anne Stevenson precisely that in my response email: put a time limit on post-demo rebuild, and put a hard time limit on "temporary" parking. It seems like such a no-brainer. Anyone know if there is anything in the MGA that would prevent the City doing something like that?
Seems to make sense to me, temporary does imply some limited or short period of time. I hope our politicians are not resistant to such reasonable ideas.
