The daycare is STILL NOT OPEN

Is there money to be had operating a daycare in a new development in heart of a big city? High rents, limited street parking even for drop off. … staffing availability, etc.
There’s dozens in the downtown area already…

I’d assume it attracts those living there, but also the tens of thousands that work there who can drop off nearby. Usually you want daycares close to your work or your house. This is close to thousands of jobs and residents.

I don't know why there should be such a delay with this project, with supposedly a lot of demand for daycare. Is it construction, permit or financing related?

There are many different reasons for project slow downs and delays. My wife and I had Russian clients who on their daycare/school project in the Melrose district of L.A. had children play sets that were ordered from a company in central Asia. Delays in shipping and subsequent border inspection held up their planned opening by over 5 months. They were, however, opening the facility as a "hobby" project serving Russian clientele living in SoCal so they took the delay without complaint. It suggests to me that guessing at the reason for the slow delivery of the Falcon Towers space is a futile exercise. We could suggest 20 different reasons for the delay only to find out that reason #21 was the kicker.
