Does Open Sky still own it? Last rumour was it wasn't for sale and maybe they were looking at 6-storey option?

How long can this huge hole in the ground stay?

At what point does Beljan benefit from picking this up and building a bunch of residential with their nearby properties?

^ I guess when the price is right. But I agree, a third in the vein of Autograph's most recents along with the previous efforts by Beljan would really cement this area as a "happenin' place". I suspect there will be some news soon,

Is the lot to the north a different owner? Realistically they can't do anything with that lot until the pit is either built up or filled in.
If it is a different owner I'm surprised they haven't been speaking out about it being a huge burden to them.

I don't know anything about him, so I really can't say whether he is a nut or not. However, the point he is making here seems quite sensible.

There are a lot of long vacant lots downtown now and they are a problem. It would be better in my opinion to focus on dealing with this rather than attacking the messenger.

Personally I find he has a tendency of just stiring the pot of things he disagrees with under the veil of "just asking questions". All his content is built on the premise of having his position and almost avoiding investigating why things may be done that way or limitations to Edmonton's responsibilities or powers.
