Fort Edmonton Park opened its doors on May 17, 1974 and welcomed 91,669 visitors in its first year. The park opens for the 2024 season on May 18.

I've gone a couple of times since they reopened and it really is great. They never did put a roller coaster or bumper cars in though. The train and streetcars are still the highlights IMO. Also, the Indigenous Peoples' attraction is very well done. Well worth a visit if you haven't gone yet.
