It eats up lots of the impound lot too, and in a recent article, the city mentioned that it needs to expand it because there’s no room to tow abandoned vehicles.
I think we should redesign some of the LRT crossings at freeway interchanges to reduce vehicle-LRT interactions. 111th Street is a mess for traffic and blocked left turns, while 75th Street has heavy truck traffic that keeps hitting the trains.

Definitely not out of the way, as it’s right across the street from the Ice District plaza, but yes, it is kinda small (then again, so was the dance floor at WSP Place)
Montreal is closer to more destinations in Europe and North America so they can use smaller aircraft on those routes. Vancouver is very far from major destinations in Asia so they just funnel way more passengers on fewer routes flown by gigantic aircraft with enough range.
It’s probably the same situation as with rusted car parts. If rust has eaten away HALF of the steel, it’s definitely infiltrated the remainder of the steel (rust is a cancer for metal) and it’s only a matter of time before it’s all eaten up. The only true option to restore the integrity is...
