Weird. This post from over a year ago just showed up on the site.

Carney didn't make the USA anything. All of the aggressive actions by the US against Canada and NATO have made them, at best, an unreliable trading partner. There is no "deal" to be had. And despite this, the US can't push much further without cratering their own economy (more than they...

"...fix our trading relationship with America." Yeah. That's what he was elected to do. If only we had Pierre to lick US boots only to have them screw us anyway.

I can't figure out what they were actually saying with that statement. Seemed like poorly executed satire.

You forgot developing tech - an economic stream that was actually growing quite rapidly in the brief NDP tenure and then killed off as soon as the UCP came in. Edit: Sorry - I missed R&D in your post.

"This is not the Third World...." Good point. So when the government decides to remove Charter rights from citizens, it's probably good to have a mechanism to remove said government via legal, democratic means.

As an MP, perhaps his moral compass was a strong reflection of his constituents. As a cabinet minister, he must represent all Canadians, which fundamentally requires compromise. He was unfit for his position. It's still good to have voices like that in caucus, though.

This site is a 5, 7, and 15 minute drive from the Southgate, Belgravia, and UofA LRT stations, respectively. It would be fairly easy to institute direct shuttles from a station to the new site with some route optimization to shave time. I'm not convinced the thing will even get built, and...

It's a verifiable fact that people died by the thousands due to milk borne illnesses prior to pasteurization. Vaccines also combat those illnesses, but the Venn diagram of people who crave untreated bovine udder secretions and cower at the thought of vaccines is a perfect circle. I guess we...

Have you all really not heard "get greedy" in this context before? It's a commonly used colloquialism when discussing how a subject has traditionally struggled to advocating for themselves.
