From what I've read, apparently both this and Eglinton have conditional signal priority. The LRT line has full signal priority built in, it's just not enabled.
I'm seeing people say it stops at every red light for 2 min which is insane if that's true.
After reading and seeing footage of the Finch West LRT, my complaints about the Valley Line's speed and transit signal priority are gone. The Valley Line looks like a high speed metro in comparison.
At this point I'm curious which major office asset downtown decides to go for a big reno/revitalization. We've gotten a couple over the last little while, which hopefully increases values, property taxes, and reductions in vacancy.
Part of me understands that the NW extension makes sense for capturing the urban ridership in an area that's missed out on rail transport for a long time now.

I mean according to the Infill Infrastructure Fund, there's supposed to be a 458 unit project starting soon in downtown near the new park. Soooo I'm guessing Parks II might be happening pretty soon if that's the case.
We don't know any other proposal in the area that fits the description lol

I mean my bad take theories are:
- Edmonton's population growth contributing to ridership growth (this one's obvious)
- More infill around LRT helping a bit? The amount around Valley Line SE is subtle but expansive.
- CoE actually investing more in transit having an effect?
- Super unfounded...
