Would they get more now for the land than they paid? Could it be that a demolition of the building on the property increases the price of the lot. And intention would be never to build anything just flip the land... Just speculating

It seems they are serious about their plan..Some units on the West side are already vacant. But the 17 yrs total development timeline for the project is a bit of a stretch.. to live for that many years at a construction site.. oh boy. Interesting what's the average total lease period per person...

I just hope they will actually plant those trees as shown on drawings. One benefit of shorter buildings is that they create less shade. On the other hand, those units won't have spectacular views of sunset or downtown.

My prediction is more abstract and from a bit different angle but nevertheless related to the fabric of this city. Globally conflict in Middle East spreads and lifts oil prices, which would accelerate a global economic slowdown, which in turn would lead to more rapid decrease in interest rates...

Imho as my visiting friends from Europe summed it up "something is missing" in downtown. It is hard to point exactly at one thing. I believe it needs to be safe, green, accessible. Not sure about the first one but some positive dev to mention for the other two: new park, legislation grounds...

That project would make so much more sense if being built in the Quarters..
