Oh yes. When he actually builds something, it does tend to have architecture. So do all of the ones which never advance beyond the vibe stage.

I suspect that they're very lean operations. When we found a crate of tools from Yellowhead Brewery in a stairwell of my other half's condo building, he showed up personally to actually retrieve the tools after we contacted one of his offices, which was a bit odd.

Like so many Dub proposals, this appears to be vapourware. The locations shown in the concept art are either NAIT land or City owned. The lake is from the original design competition and this plan would seem to require that Bravo Boulevard not exist and something weird be done with the LRT line.

I am finding this bit of decor to be rather delightful.

It does indeed remain a work in progress. When I biked through over the summer trying to visit friends in Beaumaris, I did indeed find myself in a bunch of the old base.

NAIT was not given this land. They purchased it. And it's not like they're going to purchase it somewhere else, because their campus is right there.

Yes. Mutti might have glued mantlepieces to walls and cut every corner they could and you should absolutely never buy one of their houses anywhere in the city unless you are extremely prepared to spend a bunch of money fixing it, but they made sharp looking houses here even if they've been...

Yeah, they were absolutely given a chance to host an LRT station near the location of the old bus loop, but they wanted ETS off their property, and now they have a minimally larger parking lot.

Plus, living in one of the more NW locales in Blatchford, it's actually fine. It can and will get better as infrastructure fills in and trees grow and there's a bit less empty, but I have lived shorter distances from LRT stations and had worse walks to the station due to less walkable...

Plus the new platform supports full-length trains and doesn't have the same negative impact on traffic on Princess Elizabeth (including ETS buses).

And the inevitably lengthy process of actually figuring out what they're going to build, which seems to be quite nascent at this point.

A few years ago the other half and I found a bunch of equipment from Yellowhead in a stairwell of her condo building. It was expensive diagnostic stuff for monitoring the fermentation. It was clearly labelled as theirs so we set about trying to figure out how to get it back to its rightful...

Probably clearing away the mountain of concrete so they're not constantly operating heavy equipment in the immediate vicinity.
