Stop signs and grounding cables at 34 Ave today. WPE trailer sitting on the crossovers at MWTC. Wonder how many more things were done not according to plan? How long is this cable cleanup going to take? What other work is happening that they are scrambling like mad to complete while they can...

I believe I saw the same thing in the 38 Ave station on Thursday or Friday last week as well. Maybe, just maybe we're getting close to opening?

No train testing in Millwoods today. Grounding cables either side of the crossover south of the whitemud. Barricades and stop signs on both tracks . People messing around with what I assume the crossover signals - one in a box and two more on their knees messing with something on the rails

If the thing actually runs and runs reliably and we don't have a line like Ottawa. Transed has not instilled much confidence.

The issue is with the zig zag across 83 street as well as the removal of the traffic circle. I almost think they should have tried to route southbound traffic around the west side of the mall as you don't have to cross the tracks twice, but most people don't know that trick.

Trains creating quite the traffic gong show this afternoon around Bonnie Doon. 5+ minutes delay according to Google maps. There has to be a better way to coordinate traffic signals. Fencing still around the Bonnie doon station. Also noticed that there is two of those light up no right...

Or the overhead catenary has issues and needs to be redone.... We've already seen some recent additions. Hoping not but with these clowns one never knows.

Looks like WPE has been doing some work on the overhead catenary at the 38 Ave station. There is some new shiny copper jumpers between the cables just south of the breaker on the southbound track.

Barricades across the entrances of the stations in Millwoods say permit required no trespassing still.

I have zero faith this line will open this weekend. Maybe Sept 3 2024? If they were opening this weekend we would have seen them running simulated service all week. There hasn't been a train down 83 street up to Strathern in how many months?

Weren't they originally saying they could replace the corroded cables in Millwoods while the line was running? We've been saying it for awhile now, but I don't think we can believe anything that the Transed Communication dept says.

How much testing can you do in such a short section of track though? Even training would be a bit of a challenge on such a small section of the line. As mentioned earlier today the trailers are off the tracks finally at Bonnie doon. Also noticed that the concrete blocks they had installed at...

There is still concrete blocks across the tracks north of there though. It seems the blocks across the tracks at the top of Connors road are gone this morning, however there are still derails on both tracks there.
