I like it! It has some texture without being too complicated, and it will differentiate itself from the other two towers.
Since all the area around is finished, I wonder where they will build the crane for this one? Is there a foundation for it on the roof of the podium building?

Adding this in, and the Autograph project by the new park, we're now at 3357 units that are under construction or at the development permit stage in downtown.
We wanted momentum, and now we're finally seeing the start of it.

Foundation is all there. Guessing they either build up the tower crane via one of the pre-built elevator shafts or possibly they place it on the neighbouring laydown yard south of the CBSA office.

It's a miracle. I've always said, an (affordable-ish) rental tower in Ice District is the missing component for vibrancy.

Yes, I also feel people living in a more affordable tower are more likely to want to interact with businesses nearby rather than just going from their apartment to the parkade and driving to places outside of downtown.

Yes, that is really a decent number of units considering the number of people currently living in this area. It may not be too many high profile new high rises, but bringing more people to live in various places in this area will help a lot.

FYI the rendering perspective is a bit out of whack so the building in reality may be a little higher than the scene suggests

It would be nice if this project makes the difference for a coffee shop to locate here. This district needs a morning/afternoon chill space where people want to spend some time - preferably with outdoor tables and chairs.
