Meh. They were the developer's equivalent of "I had 300 bucks that I didn't know what to do with, so I got a tattoo."

This one while certainly not going to win any design awards is at least decently proportioned aesthetically speaking and well apportioned in the materiality sphere without the use of any garish ribbons of color that scream "look at me" (yet?).

It's better than a junker but it's a prime location that deserved something better.

Yes, I agree. However that is an office building so perhaps the better lighting comparative would have been the Mayfair which is residential.

Although both of those buildings are on a more major commercial street and this building is in a mainly residential area, which while well located is not quite as prominent.

It’s hard to describe… is “kitschy” the right word? Felt the same with their Garneau build finishes/lighting/entrance.

It’s like the overdone granite and purple LED strip kitchens in some new infills. Just low class efforts at a more elevated look. Ends up feeling cheap.

Perhaps the lighting is just an acquired taste.

In seeing it in person, I feel the pics are more subtle looking than it actually is - like if there was a dimmer switch to take it down a few notches, I'd like to see it then.
