Well if they like it so much maybe they can be the first to volunteer and live there instead of in St. AlbertWould have made a perfect homeless shelter...lol. My cop buddies who work the downtown area - just shake their heads that this is not being used.
This only makes sense if you ignore the negative wellness impacts of living in a building that functioned as a remand. Not only that, a remand where other members of your nation and relations experienced severe abuse.Would have made a perfect homeless shelter...lol. Yeah. Your average homeless shelter is undignified and dangerous enough as is, to the point where the big reason we have such an issue with folks sleeping rough is that they are trying very hard to stay out of shelters. This only makes sense if you ignore the negative wellness impacts of living in a building that functioned as a remand. No.
I get a laugh out of statements like this.Well if they like it so much maybe they can be the first to volunteer and live there instead of in St. Albert
What's the reason?I get a laugh out of statements like this.
There's a reason a lot of police live outside of where they are stationed. Some of you are smart enough to know why without taking shots at them from time to time.
Safety for their family. What's the reason?
How would someone that is arrested or has an issue with a specific cop find out where they live? You’d think the city they’re sworn to protect would be safe enough for themselves to live in.Safety for their family.
I have a few friends who are EPS and that's the reason both of them don't live anywhere in the city. And a lot of their colleagues say the same.
I'm just telling you what I've been told by some members. How would someone that is arrested or has an issue with a specific cop find out where they live? You’d think the city they’re sworn to protect would be safe enough for themselves to live in.
Maybe some people really believe that bs, but there are no border walls or checkpoints to stop criminals going to St. Albert or Sherwood Park if they are determined to find someone. How would someone that is arrested or has an issue with a specific cop find out where they live? You’d think the city they’re sworn to protect would be safe enough for themselves to live in.
As someone with multiple friends and family in EPS, I somewhat empathize that it could feel scary to arrest someone on stony plain road one day, and then later that week they walk past your house in grovenor as you play out front with your kids. That’s spooky.I'm just telling you what I've been told by some members.
