Don't get me wrong, I love these kinds of projects, but at some point a business case needs to be included to justify it on top of the obvious community/health benefits.
A business case very likely was done when the project was seeking a green light during the budget process. In other words, that ship has sailed and we are far past the point of justifying the construction.

Certainly, but as we continue to see tax increases as we are, justification and more of a cost-recovery mindset is important.

What did the business case state? Is there any cost recovery from external entities? What steps were taken to make the project financially viable? I'm curious about the details!

Via city of Edmontonton. Not sure how recent but haven’t seen much for interior shots yet

I just wish there was an LRT line to this entire area. The Rec center, the swimming pool, the science center, this should be a location for LRT to go to.
There are two bus routes, 51 and 203 (St. Albert) that run between Westmount and University. Each run takes about 12 minutes, and the frequency is 15 minutes.

^unless Mr. Hemingway was consulted about the glazing change, I find it very disrespectful to the architect's original vision.
