I really wish more of Edmonton's street lights can be upgraded from low-pressure sodium lamps that emit dimly-light orange light to LED lamps that emit white light. These upgrades appear to be done in a haphazard fashion.

Not so fast! What is the impact on the natural living environment? Of course there are lots of studies and news articles on this. Here are a couple of news reads, but one thing is certain, LED light up the sky 50% more than a lp sodium lamp. Having a brighter sky is much more dangerous to the planet and we should be doing what we can to minimize where and what we light up. And before any change is undertaken the public should have input as to how they and the natural environment may be impacted.

Doesn't the city usually release their "Road Construction" schedule right after Mother's Day long weekend? How come it isn't out? Consistency city.....come on!!!
 
Yes. I think the constraints of the slope may be an issue and I wonder if they were waiting for the development nearby (Sedona) to occur, which looked like it would free up some space on the other side of the road.
