A modest new residential infill project is being proposed for the Westmount neighbourhood; Copperblock Capital is seeing rezoning to build a 25-unit residential building - dubbed Westmount 122 - to be located on 122 Street just south of 111 Avenue.
Designed by Gardner Architecture, renderings of the building show a four-storey structure with three townhouse units fronting 122 Street. According to Copperblock, the building will feature a green roof, a car sharing program, a rooftop amenity, rainwater recycling, and photovoltaic solar panels.
The company is currently in the process of rezoning the site from RF3 and RF5 to RA7 to allow for the development. The properties were previously home to two single-family houses, built in 1912 and 1931 according to the City of Edmonton's records.
The development is set to join another infill project by Copperblock and Gardner nearby; Inglewood Intersection 123 is currently under construction on 123 Street just north of 111 Street.
No date for the rezoning Public Hearing has yet been set.
