It's been over two months since we last checked in on the progress at CapitalCare Norwood; since then, a construction crane has been erected and the structure is now rising above grade.

The new facility, located at 111 Avenue and 106 Street, will provide over 40,000 square-feet of continuing care, post-acute care, and palliative care space as well as space for new community services in a seven-storey Y-shaped volume designed by DIALOG.

The facility is being built for CapitalCare Group, in conjunction with Alberta Infrastructure and Alberta Health Services, and is intended to reduce pressure on emergency visits and inpatient acute care services.
