Dear SkyriseEdmonton readers (a letter from the Editor),

I'm pleased to announce that as of November 1, I have taken on the role of Editor for SkyriseEdmonton. I'm looking forward to bringing you more locally curated content, urban development news, construction updates, upcoming projects, exclusive tours, and more!

Dave Sutherland, Editor, SkyriseEdmonton

I'm a born-and-raised Edmontonian (if you count growing up in St. Albert anyway) with a passion for community and urban development. I'm a software developer most of the time, but I also enjoy writing and photography. I'm also a community league volunteer, a year-round bike commuter, and an advocate for safe streets that are more accessible to everyone of all ages and abilities.

You've probably seen some of my articles and photos of project construction sites over the last few years, which I've enjoyed bringing to our readers; taking on this role was a logical progression for me, and I'm excited to bring you even more fresh content that cumulatively tell the story of our city's urban growth and development.

If you have a project tip, story suggestion, correction, or want to learn more about editorial and marketing opportunities, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at dave.sutherland@skyrisecities.com.

You can also find me in our discussion Forum (as Daveography), which I encourage you to check out and join! It's free and open to all, and a great place to discuss the many goings-ons in our wonderful city, as well as a great place to share your photos of Edmonton, construction or otherwise.

Reporting from the top of Stantec Tower, November 2018

Thanks for reading and for your support, I hope you're as excited for the future of SkyriseEdmonton as I am!

Dave Sutherland, Editor
