Just two months since our last update, when Southpark on Whyte was only approaching grade, and the building has shot up significantly since.
Captured in photos by forum contributor Kaizen, construction is now at the third of five floors.
The GBL Architects-designed building is the first phase of four planned buildings by ONE Properties and Wheaton Properties, and will bring 98 residential units and 15,700 square-feet of retail space to the bustling Old Strathcona district.
When full built-out, the Southpark on Whyte project will include a total of approximately 850 residential units and 26,900 square-feet of retail space. The tallest buildings are expected to rise approximately 16 stories, set back from Whyte on 81 Avenue.
SkyriseEdmonton will continue to follow this project as it progresses. More information and images can be found in our project Database. What do you think of the project? Leave a comment below. Do you have photos of the construction progress? Share them in our Forum!
