Three months since our last update, and progress at the Southpark on Whyte build site in Strathcona has moved substantially ahead. A forest of rebar and steel has now cropped up, some of which has recently risen above grade.

Located along 106 St NW between Whyte Ave and 81 Ave NW, upon the former Southpark Motors lands, the aptly-named project will bring a great deal of vibrancy to the neighbourhood. Close thus to both the Calgary Trail NW and Gateway Blvd corridors, Southpark on Whyte will be a prime address for those seeking a vibrant, walkable, home base.

To be comprised of four separate structures, Southpark on Whyte will combine high-density living with a mix of office space and retail at grade. Knit together by a series of pedestrian walkways, Southpark on Whyte will be a cohesive, self-contained, development - equipped with a full range of on-site services.

The brainchild of ONE Properties and Stantec, Southpark on Whyte will one day be home to hundreds of residents, in addition to a large contingent of office and retail employees, who will be spread across the multi-structure, multi-volume project's 18 storeys of mixed-use space.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
