Six weeks since our last update, and progress at the HSBC Bank Place Revitalization has been moving steadily along. Cladding now reaches to the top of the tower, save for the edge, thereby giving passersby a nearly complete view of the finished product.

The re-clad by DIALOG has brought all new vision glass to the longstanding, 19-storey office tower, the bottom of which has yet to be addressed. This process will see the tower upgraded from Class A to AA office space, the new glass to help the structure achieve LEED Gold certification.

Located in the heart of the core, the revitalized HSBC Bank Place will be a key part of the downtown's ongoing modernization efforts. Spurred on in large part by the success of the nearby ICE District, the current trend has given new life to the city's traditional centre.

Meanwhile, moving down to street level, it is obvious that more time is needed to retrofit and re-clad the base of the structure. While around to the rear, however, the adjacent 6-storey parking garage has now been almost completely re-surfaced.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
