Two months since we last checked in at the site of the HSBC Bank Place Revitalization, and the re-cladding effort has now nearly reached completion. The structure's new skin now reaches up to just below the top floor, the 19-storey office tower now sporting a highly reflective new look.

Designed by DIALOG, the refresh features a host of structural and mechanical upgrades, the shiny new exterior supported by a collection of high-quality, high-efficiency materials. As such, the retrofitted tower will move from Class A to AA, and will be on target to receive LEED Gold certification.

Moving around to the rear, the six-storey parking garage is also undergoing a cosmetic transformation, its exterior to be fitted out with a linear arrangement of long metal panels. All in all, the revitalization project will represent a massive urban transformation within the heart of the city, the tower and parking garage taking up nearly a full city block.

Located at the corner of 101 St NW and 103 Ave NW in downtown Edmonton, the HSBC Bank Place Revitalization will bring 317,000 sq. ft. of top tier commercial space to the core, the daily influx of office workers to bring a great deal of urban vibrancy to the district.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
